Event Date:
On Saturday, March 9th, members of St. Peter’s gathered to listen to Very Rev. Fr. Fouad Saba speak about Forgiveness and how it related to the overall theme of this Lenten Season, "The King will reply, "Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me." (Mathew 25:40). Fr. Saba’s message focused on the importance of forgiving people who have done wrong to you. The message was practical and resonated with both the younger and older generations of the church.
In addition to the guest speaker message, the church partnered with the Apna Ghar Organization (apnaghar.org), a human rights organization working to end gender violence. As a group, the church created 50 backpacks to help the organization support children experiencing gender violence. This event was another opportunity for the members of St. Peter’s to show how much they support communities experiencing challenges across the Chicagoland area.
