On Saturday, March 15th, members of St. Peter's gathered to hear an inspiring message from Rev. Fr. David Hanna on the topic "Reveal Your Struggles." During this Lenten season, Fr. Hanna emphasized the importance of opening our hearts, acknowledging our struggles, and placing our complete trust in Jesus. He highlighted how true faith requires surrendering our burdens to Him, knowing that His grace is always sufficient. The story of the Prodigal Son’s return served as a powerful reminder of God’s unconditional love and mercy, showing that no matter how far we stray, He welcomes us back with open arms.
In addition to the guest speaker’s message, the church partnered with Fillaheart4kids, an organization dedicated to providing food, critical necessities, life skills, and educational support to homeless, at-risk, foster children. Together, the church community assembled 192 snack packs. The snack-packs consisted of items supplied and obtained from Walmart, and they were filled with nutritious food to support foster children in need. This event was yet another testament to St. Peter’s commitment to serving and uplifting communities facing challenges across the Chicagoland area.
