As the members of St. Peter’s entered the 2nd week of the Great Lent, the church environment was filled with anticipation and an eagerness to learn more.   On Saturday, February 24th, members gathered to listen to Fr. Gabriel Coronel speak about Service and how it related to the overall theme of this Lenten Season, "The King will reply, "Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me." (Mathew 25:40).  Fr. Coronel’s message was insightful and focused on how we as Christians are to serve others to include people that are close to us.

In addition to the guest speaker message, the church partnered with the Ronald McDonald House (rmhccni.org) to create meal packages for families who have children that are hospitalized at nearby locations.  With these Grab-and-Go Meal Kits families will have a quick meal on the run so they don’t have to find time to cook or pay for delivery during these stressful moments.  The members of St. Peter’s were able to raise enough money to donate 100 breakfast and 200 lunch packages.  The service and unity of the members of St. Peter's continues to flourish as we journey to the mid-point of the Lenten season.
