The Orthodox Jacobite Churches in the Chicago area had the privilege of welcoming His Beatitude Aboon Mor Baselios Joseph Catholicos during his pastoral visit on August 1–2, 2026.

As part of the visit, the faithful of St. Peter's, St. George's, and St. Mark's Jacobite Syriac Orthodox Churches came together for a joint Holy Qurbono on Sunday, August 2, at St. Peter's Jacobite Syriac Orthodox Church. The Holy Qurbono was celebrated by His Beatitude in the presence of clergy and faithful from all three parishes.

The gathering was a memorable occasion of worship and fellowship, bringing the Chicago Orthodox Jacobite community together to receive the blessings and spiritual guidance of His Beatitude during his visit.
