On Jan 18, St. Peter's enrolled and started a new class of Malayalam school students. To start off their endeavors in learning Malayalam, St. Peter's held a traditional Kerala ceremony - Vidyarambham. In that ceremony, a "teacher/guru" guides the student's hand in a plate of rice - symbolizing the guided teaching about to come. Here our priest guided each of the children in writing Deivam (God in Malayalam). Good luck to all the kids as they start their Malayalam education. The new class will be taught by new teacher, Ms. Reenu George.
Much thanks to the Malayalam school president, Mrs. Delsy Mathew, for organizing this event and class.
