During the evening of Saturday March 4th, the members of St. Peter's assembled in the church for the first of five Lenten service projects during the 2023 Great Lent. The Pack-A-Backpack event consisted of the group packing 48 school backpacks with essential school supplies that children need to thrive in school. The backpacks will be given to needy children in the Chicagoland area in partnership with 'United Way of Metro Chicago' (https://liveunitedchicago.org/). The group had a great and blessed time together and looks forward to the upcoming Service Projects in the weeks ahead.
