Zion Outing/Picnic

July 17 is our annual church picnic -- but, this year is better!!!...We will be having our first 2-day family outing in Zion at Illinois Beach Resort!  Details below!

On Saturday 

  • Go to the picnic first - at the picnic the coordinators will contact you on how to check into the rooms!
  • Come early and on time to the picnic!!
  • Schedule for Saturday: 
    • 9:30 am - Picnic starts
    • 12:30-2:00 pm - Lunch Buffet (hotdogs/hamburgers)
    • 3:30-5:00 pm - Beach time
    • 5:00-6:15 pm - Go back room/rest
    • 6:30 pm - Evening prayer in Grand ball room
    • 7:00-8:30 pm - Dinner (Southwest buffet) (only for those staying)
    • 8:30-12:00 am - Cultural Program

On Sunday

  • We need to check out of the rooms by 11:00 am - but you can stay at the resort area for as long as you want
  • Schedule for Sunday: 
    • 8:30 am - Morning prayer
    • 9:00 am - Holy Qurbana
    • 10:30 am - Coffee and small meeting
    • 1:00 pm - Lunch (Homestyle buffet)

 

What to bring (for those staying at the resort):

  • Soap/Shampoo
  • Mosquito spray if wanted
  • Money/credit card if you want room service or any extra meal
